NEC Compliant Programmes
Many clients require contract compliant programmes, but many companies may not have an in-house planner to create the programmes required to meet the contractual obligations. This, and the cost of software such as Primavera, simply makes creating a fully compliant schedule out of reach.
You have the expertise in your field, we have the planners and software to generate the programmes.
We have worked with many clients to create compliant programmes and continue to support them throughout the project to help them streamline construction, record as-built information, and provide substantiation for any claims that may arise.
Our planners work closely with each company, attend client meetings, and support them where necessary.
Tender Planning
We can build Tender programmes for you. We can work through the pre-construction information, activity schedule, tender drawings, specifications, and compliance plans to create a tender programme to support your submitted tender price.
We can include design requirements, procurement schedules, and construction activities. Most importantly we always present our programmes in an easy to understand format and summarise each activity to justify the durations and risks in the submitted programme.
We are hands-on planners, so we also prefer to visit sites where possible to ensure we capture any potential restrictions prior to generating a programme.
With a typical tender submission we provide:
- A full tender programme showing the critical path and milestones such as completion dates
- A procurement schedule which lists out the lead times for materials and equipment to ensure they arrive when required
- A fully substantiated table for each activity showing the resources required, supporting the chosen duration, and listing the risks that may occur from each activity and any allowance we believe you may need as Time Risk Allowance
- A brief method statement which will detail any temporary works that may be required and lists which items of plant you will need
- A resource schedule to highlight the required workers and plant, this also allows us to level the resources available to ensure they are not overallocated
Construction Programmes
As an extension of our tender planning service, we will add detail and granularity to generate a fully compliant construction programme.
We will meticulously work through the construction drawings, specifications, compliance plan and works information to create a programme that will give your team clear instruction on how to carry out the works but will also make the reporting process, and any possible compensation events or claims a lot easier.
Where Liquidated Damages are part of a contract, it is paramount that an accurate programme is used, and that the reporting of the programme and any programme slippage, or scope creep is accurately reported so the delay can be easily demonstrated during any claims that need to be made.
We can provide slippage programmes for sections of work, to allow you to submit the programme as substantiation of any compensation events that may occur.
Progress Reporting
Updating the programme to report progress is the key to noticing any slippage of the programme before it creates a problem. We will update your programmes on a regular basis. We will conduct site visits to update a programme, take site photographs during the visit, and can also use drones to capture a 3D model should you need it.
We then spend time with your site representative and ensure we capture any delays and add these to the programme.
Once this is complete, the programme is updated and sent to you, along with a report highlighting whether the programme is on target, or whether mitigation is required to get back on track.
You will also receive access to the progress photos (and the latest 3D model if this option was selected).
